NHS App

NHS App Help Summary

Covid passes are not available through proxy/linked access via the NHS App. If you link your children's record via the NHS app this will not show their Covid-19 vaccination record/Covid pass.

Children aged 5 to 11 years old who have had a full primary course of vaccination or who can provide proof of prior infection (recovery) can get an NHS Covid Pass letter for international travel. A person with parental responsibility for a child can request the letter on their behalf either online at nhs.uk or by calling the 119 service

Fully vaccinated children aged 12-15 who have received a full dose of the Covid-19 vaccine can also travel with an NHS Covid Pass letter which is available online via NHS.uk or by calling 119 or by asking a parent or guardian to request the letter on their behalf.

To summarise the Covid Pass Service is not available for users who don’t have their own unique NHS App account and instead manage their account as a proxy/ linked profile. Should you require proof of your vaccinations for travelling purposes we recommend getting in touch with the NHS Vaccination Helpline  at 119, they will be able to  provide one for you in the form of a letter.

People aged 16 and over should have their own NHS App, this can be used to demonstrate vaccination and recovery from Covid-19.

To sign up to the NHS App you will need your mobile number, email address, and your I.D.

Anyone over the age of 16 can also request a paper copy of their Covid Pass by calling 119
